How to Clean a Kitchen
April 10, 2021How to Get Stains Out of Carpet
June 14, 2021As you probably know, how to clean your oven is different from how to clean your bathroom. In both instances, you do not want to use any abrasive materials or substances. In both cases, you do not want to burn yourself or get a chemical burn on your skin. Both situations require careful preparation, and in both cases, you do not want to end up making a mistake that will permanently damage your appliance. To ensure that you are doing it right, follow the instructions below carefully.
Before you begin, be sure to spray the area with oven cleaner. This will help get the stains out of the area and prevent further build-up. Also, put on your protective glasses and gloves. Spray the entire oven door, including the back, side, bottom, door, crevices, and corners. If you own an electric oven, do not spray the heating elements; rather, simply lift them off and spray them beneath.
The first thing you need to do when learning how to clean your oven is to remove the cooking oil from the pan and any excess food. After removing all the oil, you should spray the pan with a non-stick cooking spray. Do not use cooking oil that has already set or that is near a dark color. In order to avoid leaving food-colored marks, wipe the pan with a plastic brush or sponge. Any food that has not set should also be wiped with a dry cloth to remove any grime.
After cleaning the pan, you will next need to remove any remaining food or grease using a wire brush or a sponge. To do this, take a dish soap that is lukewarm and make a paste out of one tablespoon of dish soap and four tablespoons of warm water. Mix the dish soap and warm water together until the dish soap paste forms a paste. Spread this paste onto the bottom and outside of the oven. If the food or grease was stubborn, you may have to repeat the cleaning process for a few more days.
Another important step in learning how to clean your oven is to remove any grime with steel wool and a small brush. Once you have removed all the grime, you can then move on to washing the oven with hot soapy water. When washing the pan, pay close attention to the grime on the surface as you work it out. You should clean the entire surface, including the shelves, doors, racks, drip pans, and bakeware.
One last tip in learning how to clean your oven is to make sure that you wipe the inside and outside of the oven with a sponge that is covered in bleach. This will help to get rid of any baking soda residue that may remain. Bleach has been proven to not only get rid of stains but also germs. Bleach is commonly used for many household cleaning jobs because it is safe and affordable.
